Head of Seller Acquisition & Management - BIGTH project

BIGTH is amarketplace platform in Thailand aiming to make it simple to start a business and/or to fulfill business needs, serving primarily SMEs. As Head of Seller Acquisition & Management, you will collaborate with the management team in setting the strategy and plan for marketplace including growth strategy, business development, operations and customer experience, and team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze opportunities, develop and implement strategies to grow the Marketplace business through new channels and programs
  • Define the drivers of success for these channels including selection, quality, customer satisfaction, partner health, traffic and operational success.
  • Set a business development strategy to acquire new vendors to enable further growth
  • Work closely with the Head of Buyer, CMO and Category Managers to identify assortment opportunities and key trends to be filled by Marketplace
  • Work closely with seller teams to maintain and leverage existing seller and brand relationships as well as support the team in expanding their categories
  • Manage over 500 existing vendors: select products, optimize assortment, monitor and optimize logistics, and grow their businesses
  • Structure seller acquisition strategy per product cluster together with the category team and organize lead generation matching these needs
  • Work closely with Operation team to ensure product onboard smoothly and, monitor operational performance and escalate and course correct if needed
  • Manage, motivate and coach team to develop optimal category strategy, pricing, promotions, and availability to expand both sales and margin
  • 1 year contract which will be renewable by performance based

 

Qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent experience in deep understanding of e-Commerce or Marketplace
  • 8 - 10 years in sales and marketing environment with full P&L responsibility and commercial & business development focus
  • Proven experience in managing a rapidly scaling sales organizations covering project management, experience in negotiation, and analytics
  • Strong ability to operate in a matrix environment, collaborate with various stakeholders (both SCG and non-SCG) in different functions effectively
  • High responsibility with positive mindset, be able to work under high pressure environment, be able to handle multi tasks and delivery assignment in due course.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work as a team
