Lead Engineer - Risk Assessment and Functional Safety(Rayong Based), Chemicals Business

Job Summary:

• Provide Process Safety Design Package and Risk Assessment study support to chemical plants during conceptual study for projects.
• Review/prepare process safety engineering documents during Project Execution.
• Familiar with Hazard Identification, Consequence Analysis Study and Risk Assessment methodologies
• Lead or participate in HAZID, HAZOP/LOPA, and SIL determination workshops.
• Carry out/review the safety study reports such as QRA/BRA, Consequence Analysis Study etc.

Responsibilities:

• Apply practical knowledge of process safety engineering principles, practices, and procedures to perform design/engineering for manufacturing processes that meet business needs
• Working knowledge of various International codes and standards including NFPA, API etc.
• Work independently with general supervision, including collaborating with team members and receiving guidance from senior staff as needed
• Use analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address difficult process technology/engineering challenges, and develop and implement solutions that meet business needs
• Identify and implement innovative process safety technology solutions that increase safety in the paints.    

Qualifications:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Chemicals Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related fields.
• Achieved a minimum GPA of 2.7 for Undergraduate and 3.3 for Post-graduate studies.
• Good communication in both spoken and written English (required TOEIC at least 550)
• Having experience at least 6 years in  Process Safety, Process Technology, and Risk Assessment is a must.
• Having Experience or participation in HAZID, HAZOP/LOPA, and SIL is a plus
• Understanding the interaction between process units is essential
• Ability to work independently as well as within multi-functional teams
