Legal Risk and Compliance officer - Vietnamese Speaker

Job Summary:

In Risk and Compliance Management area, we are providing (i) the risk prevention services for SCG groups companies via proactive tools such as e-compliance system, quarterly legal highlight, tax updates and (ii) the consultancy to help our companies to deal with daily legal issue that may happen during its operation in Vietnam.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular legal research and reviews to stay up-to-date with laws, regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices relevant to the business operations.
• Provide guidance and training to company’s employee, SCG internal client on regulatory compliance matters.
• Investigate compliance breaches or incidents promptly and recommend necessary corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as external legal requirements. Prepare related templates, standard document to support company’s operation activities.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential risks (including tax issues) within the organization and recommend preventive measures.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risks across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess compliance requirements and develop controls to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management on the status of risk management and compliance activities.
• Other assistance by assignment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or related fields.
• Proven working experience at least 2 years as a Risk Officer or Compliance Officer in a similar role (experience about Tax is preferred).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization (both Vietnamese and English).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn and passionate in legal field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Be able to work in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
